Dr Lee Baker

Dr Lee grew up on a cattle property near Cloncurry, NW QLD and has always had animals in her life.  Lee graduated from UQ in 1999, and started work in mixed practice, at such places as Mt Isa, Gympie and Rockhampton.   After starting a family, she also established an equine breeding centre at her home property.

In 2018 Dr Lee started a role at CQ University as the Animal Welfare Officer within its Research Division, a role she continues to this day.  Lee also returned to small animal practice in 2021 and joined the Rockhampton Veterinary Clinic team in 2023.  Lee values that her job allows her to learn something new every day and make a real difference to animal’s lives.  She is enjoying her time here and being able to follow her passion for internal medicine, imaging, surgery, emergency medicine and critical care.

Lee and her family currently have 2 German Shepherd Dogs, Enzie and Hoss.
