Jessica grew up surrounded by animals on a cattle property in a small town in far North Queensland. She always had a passion for helping animals and thus, decided to study Veterinary Science, graduating from James Cook University in Townsville in 2013.
Jessica moved to Rockhampton and joined our team in September 2014. She has a keen interest in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery.
In her spare time Jessica enjoys spending time at the beach with her dogs Panda and Fitz.
Barrett graduated from the Vet School, University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort in South Africa in 1987. He then completed a Masters of Veterinary Medicine from the Medical University of South Africa in 1996, completed the Australian Veterinary Board Exam in 1999 and completed a Graduate Diploma in Animal Chiropractic from the Royal Melbourne Institute of TAFE in 2003.
Barrett has a special interest in Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Surgery, Small Animal Medicine and Animal Chiropractic treatments. He has worked in a variety of Veterinary fields, including sporting horses, dairy practHaice and bull fertility. He has also enjoyed imparting some of his experience to budding veterinarians, while working for the University of Queensland's Vet School for 5 years.
His family migrated to Australia in 2000 and are proud citizens after naturalisation in 2004. His wife, whom he met more than 25 years ago, works as an accountant for a local accounting practice. They have two sons, the older studying at JCU, and younger, studying at UQ in Brisbane.

Trisha has worked as a Veterinary Nurse at Rockhampton Vet Clinic since 2007. She has a degree in Veterinary Technology from University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science from CQU.
Trisha loves animals of all kinds and sizes and has two dogs, Zues & Laddy, and a cat named Bobcat. Trisha and her husband Lance are the proud parents of a gorgeous toddler named Eric and have recently welcomed an addition to their family – Baby Lincoln.
Kat is one of our Certificate IV qualified Veterinary Nurses. She has worked as a nurse in rural mixed practices, equine clinics and 24 hour emergency hospitals over the past 8 years. With a passion for equine medicine, emergency medicine and diagnostic imaging, Kat is now furthering her skill and exploring Veterinary Science, having just enrolled in her first year at UQ University.
In her spare time Kat enjoys visiting her home at Stradbroke Island, relaxing at the beach, camping and spending quality time with her dogs, Maddy, Bandit and Tucker, and her horse Nik.
Lauren joined our nursing staff in 2015. While Lauren loves working with animals she has recently decided to pursue a career in human nursing. She would love to work as a midwife and expand her skills to bring not only furbabies into this world but also human babies.
Lauren enjoys movies and reading in her spare time. She has recently welcomed a new furbaby into her life – a Maltese X Shih Tzu named Gus.
Suzi has been working at Rockhampton Vet Clinic since mid 2016. She has completed her Certificate III in Animal Studies and is currently studying her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing. She has a special interest in surgical nursing within the clinic.
Suzi has a passion for patient care and likes to learn as much as she can about each and every patient that comes into the clinic. In her spare time Suzi enjoys horse riding, reading and spending time with her special pets which include, a dog, horse and other animals.

Katie is our youngest member of our team. Growing up on properties in Far North Queensland, Katie’s passion is the country – horse riding, training horses, camp drafting and contract mustering.
Katie has worked as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse for 2 years at Alma St Vet Hospital before graduating high school in 2017, and going on to complete her Certificate III in Animal Studies in mid 2018 whilst continuing working in the clinic. She joined our team in late 2017, and is looking to further her career by completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys writing novels, reading, playing multiple sports, water-skiing, and working with her 2 young horses, Savannah and Spanner.
